Meet the doctor
Dr. Seth Anderson

Why one doctor
In a bigger clinic you get whoever is available. Your history lives in a chart instead of in someone's head, and the plan can change depending on who walks into the room. Seth built Discover Chiropractic the other way around: you see him, he remembers you, and the plan is his to explain and defend.
It also means the practice stays small enough to be honest. There's no production target to hit and nobody upstairs setting visit quotas, so when Seth says he thinks he can help, that's a clinical opinion, not a sales step.
His story
Seth decided to become a chiropractor when he was 17. Looking back, he believes he was genuinely called into the profession, even if he didn't fully understand it at the time. What he did know was that he wanted to work with his hands. He considered massage therapy first, got pointed toward something bigger, and then read that roughly 95% of Americans deal with back pain at some point in their lives. That was enough to get him curious.
The curiosity turned into certainty on the first day of chiropractic school, when he learned how the spine and nervous system influence the entire body. That's the moment he knew he'd found what he was supposed to do.
He opened his own practice because chiropractic is both a science and an art. Practicing independently means he gets to care for people according to his own philosophy, not someone else's business model, and it means the person who treats you is the same person who answers for how it goes.
Education and credentials
- University of Wisconsin–River Falls, undergraduate degree.
- Life Chiropractic College West, Doctor of Chiropractic, December 2002.
- Licensed to practice in Washington, serving University Place for more than two decades.
Life outside the office
Seth and his wife Kristen have been married 20 years this October, and they have three kids: Adeline, Finnegan and Maverick. He's been caring for University Place for about 21 years, which is long enough that the kids he adjusted in elementary school now bring in kids of their own.
Weekends center on family. In the summer that means camping trips. In the fall it means coaching youth football, while Kristen has coached youth volleyball. The family is active in their local church, the kids are in youth group, and yes, there's church softball. This is the community he lives in, not just the one he works in.

How he practices
What you can count on
He'll listen first
You get to finish your sentences. Most of what Seth needs to know comes from you talking, not from a form.
He'll be straight with you
Including when the answer is "this isn't a chiropractic problem" or "let's give it two weeks and see."
He'll explain everything
What he found, what he's going to do, what he expects, and what would make him change course.
Meet him in person.
The best way to know whether a practice fits is to sit down in it. Walk in during office hours and see how the conversation goes.
